ICFAI was established in 1984 as a not-for-profit society with the broad objective of empowering citizens through world class quality education. The Institute announced its arrival into the Indian education fora by launching  a high end, innovative professional program in financial analysis in 1985. The Program was first-of-its-kind in India, aimed at equipping students and working professionals with cutting-edge knowledge in contemporary areas of finance. The ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education (IFHE) is a Deemed University declared under Section 3 of UGC Act, 1956. The Distance Education Bureau (DEB) UGC has accorded recognition to the Directorate of the Distance Education, IFHE, Hyderabad and its programs. IFHE has evolved a comprehensive student-centric learning approach consisting of several stages, designed to add significant value to the learner’s understanding in an integrated manner, covering relevant knowledge, practical skills and positive attitudes.

The University believes in creating and disseminating knowledge and skills in core and frontier areas through innovative educational programs, research, consulting and publishing.

The University campus, based at Hyderabad, is sprawling, landscaped and lush green. It provides a congenial environment  for  education  and  learning.  It  has  well-equipped  physical  and  academic  infrastructure.  The  University has no study centers outside its authorized jurisdiction.

The candidates have to work on a live project in a contemporary  area.  They  will  be  required  to  visit  a  company  and  prepare a report by articulating a problem, collecting data, analyzing and  submitting  the  same  duly  signed  by  the  concerned  company  official. Guidelines on the project work will be provided.

The   Master   of   Management   Studies   (MMS)   Program  is  offered  on  distance  mode  by  the  IFHE, Hyderabad.
The    program    aims    to    impart    knowledge    and   understanding   of   the   different   aspects   of   management.   The   program   equips   the  
students with the skills, knowledge and strategic perspectives   essential   to   the   leadership   of   business around the world.

Eligibility
Graduates (any discipline).

Duration Two years.

Medium of instruction English.

Validity of enrollment
The  students  are  required  to  complete  MMS  program within a period of four years from the date of enrollment. Students who are unable to
complete the program within the validity period of  four  years  may  approach  the  University  for  extension of the validity period within 3 months
of the expiry of initial validity.

Self-study
  • The program is based on self-study and examinations.
  • The   University   provides   required   academic   material  designed  for  the  programs  meant  for  self-study.

Subject-wise Waivers
Students with prior qualifications are eligible to get waivers from certain subjects of the Master of Management

  • Foundations of Accounting & Finance=CA, CMA
  • IT for Managers=MCA, B.Tech

What the qualifications refer to:
  • CA  means  a  person,  who  has  passed  the  final  examinations  conducted  by  the  Institute  of  Chartered Accountants of India.
  • CMA  means  a  person,  who  has  passed  the  final  examinations  conducted  by  the  Institute  of  Cost  Accountants of India.
  • MA (Economics) from any University. 
  • MCA from any University. 
  • B.Tech from any University.

Examinations
Eligibility  for  appearing  in  examinations: 
  • Students  will  be  eligible  to  appear  for  the  examinations  for  module  I  (all  five  subjects)  six  months  after  the  date  of  enrollment,  provided  there  are  no  fee  dues.  Subsequently, students can complete each module once every six months.Students will be required to progress in the program module-wise, sequentially. In order to advance to the next module, students should not have more than one backlog  subject in the ongoing module. The student
  • can appear for the backlog in the subsequent examination. However, a backlog subject cannot be carried forward beyond one module. For example a backlog subject of module I cannot be carried to module III. Within a module students can appear for examinations in any order of the subjects and for any/all subjects
  • at a time.

Examinations:
Examinations are conducted four times in a year.

Enrollment dates:
In order to become eligible to appear for the examinations, the students are required to enroll into the program on or before the dates given in the following table.

ICFAI MBA Examinations:-

  • Enroll into the program on or before= April 2018 / July 2018 / October 2018 / March 31, 2018 / January 2019 / June 30, 2018
  • Mock practice questions to familiarize with examinations will be provided to all enrolled students.
Certification:
  • The  following  Diplomas/Degree  are  issued  by  the  IFHE,  Hyderabad  to  the  successful  students:
  • Certification On successful completion of Certificate in Management Basics
  • Module I
  • Diploma in Management Studies
  • Modules I & II
  • PG Diploma in Management Studies
  • Modules I, II & III
  • Master of Management Studies Degree
  • All 4 Modules

Remittance Information
Students  have  the  option  to  pay  the  fee  module-wise  or  pay  full  fee  for  all  four  modules  at  the  time  of 
enrollment.

ICFAI MBA Fee:

  • The Fee can be paid by way of Demand Draft or Credit Card or Debit Card (VISA or MasterCard only).
  • The Demand Draft should be A/c payee crossed in favor of
  • “IFHE Fee Collection A/c (DLP)”
  • payable at Hyderabad. In case students wish to make payment through Credit Card / Debit Card, they should get their Cards swiped for the required amount, sign and attach the merchant copy of the slip along with the Fee Remittance Form and keep the customer copy with themselves (as acknowledgement).
  • No cash payment to be made while enrolling into the program.
  • Credit Card / Debit Card information being confidential should not be shared with anyone while making payments for the program.
  • Students deviating from the above will be doing so at their own risk and responsibility.
  • b. EMI Facility for
  • Payment of Fee:
  • EMI facility is offered to all the students for payment of Fee. The
  • PDCs are to be drawn in favor of
  • “IFHE Fee Collection A/c (DLP)”

The
initial amount should be paid by way of Demand Draft / Credit Card / Debit Card and the balance amount can be paid through submission of PDCs. As per RBI guidelines, only CTS 2010 compliant cheques are accepted.

Guidelines for paying through PDCs:
The PDCs (CTS 2010 compliant) should be drawn on scheduled commercial banks. Only MICR and multi-city cheques will be accepted. The initial payment should be done at the time of application, by Demand Draft/Credit Card/Debit Card. The EMIs are payable on the first of every month, subsequent to enrollment. The EMIs should be paid through postdated cheques.
Students 
submitting  the  postdated  cheques  should  ensure  that  the  postdated  cheques  should  not  be  dishonored under any circumstances when they are deposited for payment. In the event of dishonor of any cheques, the students and the signatories of such cheques will be liable for prosecution under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881 and such other legal actions as may be taken by the University.
The University reserves the right to withdraw the EMI Facility for payment of Fee at any time.

Examination Fee:
  • The examination fee as applicable is to be paid separately as and when the student
  • is eligible and register for the examinations. Currently the fee is 500 per subject. The fee for project
  • evaluation is 1,000.

All  students  registering  in  the  program  are  required  to  pay  the  stipulated  payment  as  per  schedule.
Wherever students have arrears of payment, they will not be permitted to register for the examinations or their examination result will not be released and their grade sheets, pass certificates will not be issued; further such students will be considered as inactive on the rolls of the University and their names are liable
to be removed from the records.

The fee is subject to change from time to time. Students will be informed of the payment revisions through e-mails, students regulations, etc. The students are required to pay the fee as may be prevalent in the relevant academic year.
